Zie, Heer, hoe zij uw volk verdrukken,
uw erfdeel haast aan U ontrukken.
Zij slaan aan vreemden in uw land,
aan wees en weduwe de hand.
"God ziet het niet", zo klinkt hun spot,
"Hij merkt het toch niet , Jakobs God".
